The Las Vegas Market will always have a special place in my heart as they hosted the first major Design Campus Live Event (formally called Design Camp) that my partner, Lori Dennis, and I produced. We are so humbled by the continued demand to host more educational summits for the design community and it brings me to tears knowing how many designers we have guided, mentored and have helped grow their businesses and succeed in this amazing industry we love. All of those kind hearted notes, emails and success stories are the real reason why, aside from our full-time interior design careers, we continue to bring Design Campus Live to industry trade conventions across the U.S.
One of my favorite parts of Design Campus Live is the Instagram showroom tour guided by some of our favorite celebrity interior designers and icons in the industry. These awesome designers volunteer their time to Design Campus Live because they want to give back to the design community and be able to share their secrets to success.
In addition to hanging out with their fabulous tour guides, the showroom tour provides our campers with the opportunity to meet some of the top vendors in the home furnishings industry in a more intimate way.
(With Lori Dennis, Michel Boyd and some very happy campers!)
Campers learn about the companies, meet with company principals and product developers, view new products and collections and get the premier Camper experience.
Of course, we had to take our own tour!
Day two of Design Campus Live was all about education, tips and tools for our Campers to implement in their business and design strategies.
We had the charming Ariel Joseph Towne, also known as The Feng Shui Guy, open the conference with some fascinating techniques from the ancient Chinese philosophy. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when Lori booked Ariel as one of our presenters for Design Campus Live Las Vegas but I’ve become a huge fan and strongly believe our campers will benefit from Ariel’s presentation.
YouTube Expert, David Brownstein, really engaged with our Campers by answering question after question during his very informative presentation. David and all the campers who already use YouTube to grow their social networks have inspired me to start increasing my YouTube presence.
Truly an icon, renowned architect William Hefner kept the audience captivated with his extraordinary designs and magnificent landscaping. The estates William has worked on have given him the ability to create true works of art.
The vivacious Stacey Tiveron, a dear friend and owner of TODL, has created the largest online product specification tool for the design industry. Stacey was so kind to walk our Campers through this valuable tool and provide a free consultation!
Giveaway Time!!! I always love screaming that out at the end of the Live Events. Because our partners are all so gracious and want to give our campers a taste of their company, we are able to give out some amazing prizes!
If you missed Design Campus Live Las Vegas and want to see the presentations from Ariel Joseph Towne, David Brownstein or William Hefner, we’ve got you covered! Lori and I are working hard behind the scenes to give you all this amazing training, right from your computer! Visit www.designcampus.com for more info!
We are also happy to announce that we are bringing our SUPER Design Campus Live Event to two destinations this winter! We will be at the Atlanta Market and Dallas Market January 2016! Click here for more details on each event.
I hope to see all you lovely faces there! 🙂
