I’m so excited about the launch and success of my collection with Sunpan! The official debut at High Point was an extraordinary event and the defining moment in a long process that I enjoyed every minute of. This collection is the realization of my vision and passion for unique, functional, and beautiful design. I’m so lucky to have so many people who are beyond supportive of that and I thank you all.
I’m so excited to announce that my collection will have a second feature at Las Vegas Market this July 29 through August 2nd. You can come view all my pieces in person. I will be attending market throughout!
A little more about my collection:
My collection features occasional seating and occasional tables that mix femininity and a retro style in various ways. Some key elements I used throughout my designs are ruching, on-trend colors, and luxurious yet functional fabrics. I wanted this collection to not only look beautiful, but be functional for a myriad of everyday uses because without that design is missing the point. I’ve always said this! But functionality doesn’t mean lacking is style or uniqueness and I wanted to make that clear with this collection. I selected functional, durable fabrics that can resist wear and tear and stay beautiful through real-life use. This is the first time that Sunpan is introducing performance fabrics like this and I’m happy to offer beauty and functionality like this.
My collection is inspired by both now and a time long gone. Those who know my personal style and my love art and architecture history may see a lot of that in this collection. These pieces are meant to evoke emotion and nostalgia. The materials used look and feel luxurious and opulent. The lines are clean and modern which I always appreciate. I like to play with a mix of old and new staples. As mentioned before there is a lot of ruching but adjacent to cool metals and modern edges. I love that blend of the old and new. The elements of both are subtle enough in my collection to where these pieces can be used in a wide collection of styles and designs. I wanted versatility as well as character!
One thing that I really wanted to incorporate in this collection to up that versatility and better combine old world influence and modern looks is metals. I use brushed golds, clean silvers, and mirror to add a hint of luxury as well as make them more versatile.
More from me:
If you like what you see and have read, I have more coming inspired by my personal style and interests in other mediums. I already have multiple collections with Left Bank Art available that actually compliment this collection really well. I used a lot of the same influences and themes. My art is very style-neutral with heavy use of silver, gold, black, and white, while also looking extravagant enough to spice up a simple look or compliment an already extravagant one. You can check these out here.
Once again, I’m so grateful to have people who are equally as passionate about bringing these visions to life as I am. I cannot wait to bring you more!
