6 Celebrity Homes That Will Leave You Inspired (and a Little Envious)

February 2, 2015 by Kelli Ellis

Celebrities are known for being trendsetters when it comes to their personal style and the same holds true for their homes. It’s been my pleasure to design many of these beautiful homes.

If you’re looking to find inspiration for your own home it can be fun to look toward the homes of A-list celebrities. You may not have the same budget, but you can certainly draw ideas from these standout star pads.

Below are 6 beautiful celebrity homes that all have unique design styles and one thing in common—they’re stunning.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady

Is there anything about this power couple this isn’t beautiful? Certainly not and that includes their LA home. While the overall design is clean with simple, elegant lines, the addition of decorative crown molding and the oversized ceiling light make it feel distinctive.

George Clooney

While one of George Clooney’s most famous homes may be located on Lake Como, this Mexican villa certainly isn’t something to ignore. This home beautifully ties together the indoors and outdoors and makes the most of the scenic surroundings.

Reese Witherspoon

The starlet’s house in Ojai perfectly captures the rustic-modern design style. The heavy wood beams, the large wooden chandelier and the wide plank flooring are balanced by the clean, modern lines of many of the furniture pieces.

Candace Bushnell

Candace Bushnell set the tone for what it means to be a fashionable New Yorker when she wrote Sex and the City, and her apartment is proof she lives a fabulous city lifestyle. Her style tends to focus on a combination of luxury and glamour along with some classic touches, particularly in the form of things like antiques and tufted furniture.

Ellen Degeneres

Ellen may be one of the world’s biggest personalities and most well-known talk show hosts but her house doesn’t feel over-the-top. It seems to feel just the opposite—warm, inviting and even a little cozy.

Ben Stiller

Ben Stiller is known for his quirky and often hilarious movie roles, but you’d never see that in his home where there’s a focus on rich, dark color palettes, some drama and a nice combination of bold, modern design elements and traditional warmth.
